Dryvit Outsulation® Mineral Wool is a non-combustible mineral wool EIFS system designed for continuous insulation, moisture drainage, and improved fire performance. It is well suited for commercial, multifamily, and code-sensitive exterior wall projects.

Technical Information

Dryvit Outsulation® Mineral Wool is an exterior insulation and finish system that uses ROCKWOOL® Frontrock™ mineral wool continuous insulation board with an R-value of 4.0 per inch. The system includes an air/water-resistive barrier, flashing, drainage, Genesis® adhesive, mineral wool insulation, mechanical fasteners, reinforcing mesh, Genesis base coat, and Dryvit finish. Mineral wool insulation is non-combustible and meets ASTM E136, with additional fire testing compliance noted by Dryvit for NFPA 285 and NFPA 268 assemblies. Applicators may choose Outsulation Mineral Wool for exterior wall systems requiring continuous insulation, drainage EIFS performance, fire resistance, sound control benefits, and a wide range of Dryvit finish options.

Overview

Outsulation Mineral Wool System expands upon the proven weatherability and insulating qualities of Outsulation by adding a second line of defense against air, moisture and weather. This is accomplished with a Dryvit/Tremco Air/Water-Resistive Barrier, accessory components and flashing system. Outsulation Mineral Wool System goes one step further through the use of Dryvit Genesis adhesive channels to provide moisture drainage in vertical notched trowel configuration. These channels work in tandem with either of two system termination options.
